Join us at Logan as we continue our current series, Transformers. This week Pastor Henry’s explores the transformation of the apostle Paul, as detailed in the Books of Acts, highlighting Paul’s journey from being a zealous persecutor of Christians to becoming a fervent church planter after his profound encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus. There is a power of faith in Jesus Christ and the pivotal role of the Holy Spirit in guiding and empowering Paul’s mission. All good gifts come from God, and we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfil our unique purposes for His glory. Be encouraged that just as Paul discovered his purpose and calling, you too can find their “ikigai” or reason for being in a deep relationship with God.
But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, reviling him. And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to you. Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles. For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,“‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’” – Acts 13: 45-47 (ESV)
