Join us at Logan as we continue with our current series, The Cross. This week Pastor Jr lets the story of Mary Magdalene inspire us to see the power of the cross in a fresh way. Despite her past, marked by oppression and brokenness, she encountered Jesus and was completely transformed. Her life reminds us that the cross is not just a historical event but a deeply personal act of love and salvation. Whatever challenges or struggles you face, remember that Jesus endured the ultimate suffering and declared, “It is finished.” You are not defined by your past or your circumstances. Stand firm in faith, knowing that the cross turns fear into hope, pain into purpose, and doubt into unshakable belief.
Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord”—and that he had said these things to her. – John 20:16-18 (ESV)
