Join us at Brisbane Central as we continue with our current series GEN United: Bridge Builders. This week Pastor Neli helps us to reflect on being an intergenerational community. Transferring of the gospel is like a relay race, where the baton is the gospel itself. It’s important to have a teachable spirit, faithful obedience, and proximity in relationships. We can pass the “baton” by setting the pace, running in proximity, and timing the pass with a focus on character over talent. It is just as important to also receive the baton from our own mentors so we can faithfully pass it on to the next generation, helping them to do even greater works.
Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us. – Titus 2:7-8 (ESV)
