Our human efforts, moral living, or religious backgrounds can never substitute for the divine grace of Jesus. Rather than retreating into comfortable huddles or relying on self-righteousness, we need to drop “Christianese” jargon, authentically own our past failures, and step across cultural and social lines to share the gospel with others. So steward your everyday platforms, embrace total surrender to Jesus, and boldly ask yourself the very question Ananias posed to Paul: “What are you waiting for?”
“A man named Ananias came to see me. He was a devout observer of the law and highly respected by all the Jews living there.
